Our Doctrinal Statement

SCRIPTURES

The Bible, consisting of 66 books from Genesis to Revelation, is the verbally (each word) and plenarily (entire) inspired, inerrant, infallible, even indestructible, Word of God. We believe that God has preserved His Word, as found in the Old Testament, Masoretic Hebrew Text and in the New Testament Textus Receptus text, from which our King James Bible is translated.

TRI-UNITY OR TRINITY OF THE GODHEAD

We believe in one God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to man in three persons of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three persons of this one Godhead are co-equal in omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience, and all other attributes.

LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the absolute deity of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, God come in the flesh; thus his incarnation with a humanity without sin due to the virgin birth. We believe in the blood atonement which paid for all mankind’s sin, thus He is our substitute. We believe that Jesus Christ literally died, was buried, and bodily arose again from the grave after three days; ascended up into Heaven, where He intercedes for every believer, awaiting the Father’s sending of Him to rapture His bride the church.

MANKIND

We believe that man was created in the image of God without sin, yet because of his voluntary will, sinned, causing all of mankind to be born spiritually dead in sin; thus with a lost condition that can only be changed by being born again by faith in Jesus Christ alone.

SALVATION

Salvation occurs immediately occurs when a man repents of his sin and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross and empty tomb, i.e., salvation is by faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Man is saved by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, and never saved by his works but saved unto good works after salvation.

While Jesus Christ died on a cross for man’s sin, it was/is the shedding of His sinless blood which grants the believer remission of his sins.

Along with one’s genuine salvation received by faith, goes the eternal security of the believer. God saves, sanctifies, and eternally keeps the salvation of every true, born-again believer in Jesus Christ.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit who convicts the lost of sin and brings conversion to the repentant and believing sinner. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer, sanctifies, teaches, guides, comforts, fills and empowers him to be a witness for Jesus Christ while living a Christ-like, Spirit-filled, Christian life.

CHURCH

We believe that a New Testament local church membership is to be composed of only testifying, born-again believers who have followed the Lord obediently in Believer’s Baptism by immersion, and have willingly submitted themselves to the teachings and leadership of that local church.

The biblical officers/leadership of a local church are all male pastors and deacons.

The local church is the authority that administers the two Bible-ordained ordinances of Believer’s Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.

The local New Testament church is God’s ordained institution for carrying out the Gospel, with the sending forth of laborers into the harvest. The ministry of the local church is two-fold: evangelization and edification…the witnessing to and winning of the lost; and then, the growth-building of the saved.

SEPARATION

We believe in the personal separation of a believer from those things of the world that are not pleasing to the Lord and would become a stumbling block to the saints and a hindrance to winning the lost. We believe in ecclesiastical separation from movements and organizations that are contrary to the Word of God, and a separation from cooperation with those of the Charismatic, New Evangelical, Ecumenical people, platforms, and practices.

SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe in a pre-millenial, pre-tribulation rapture of the Bride of Christ the church of which all truly born-again believers will participate at His coming. We believe the Second Coming is in two aspects…the rapture/translation, even removal of the saints up to meet Jesus Christ in the air, at any moment, before the Tribulation period…and then the second aspect of Christ’s revelation as He comes to this earth at the seven-year tribulation close, i.e., the next event on God’s calendar is Jesus Christ’s coming with the saints.

ETERNITY

Scripture teaches the bodily resurrection of all mankind. However, the saved will be resurrected into the glory and blissful presence of God in Heaven. The unsaved who die in their sins, going immediately to an eternal Hell, will be raised to stand at the White Throne Judgment to be judged according to their works and degrees of eternal punishment but not raised for any "second chance" of salvation, and then cast into the Lake of Fire.

The literalness of a Heaven, Hell, and Lake of Fire exist! The eternalness of Heaven and Lake of Fire is truth!

DISTINCTIONS

We believe that Israel and the church are two separate entities with Scriptures belonging to both. We believe that the church, the Body of Christ, will comprise both saved Gentiles and saved Jews, coming the only way of salvation through Jesus Christ.

We believe in the reality of Satan and his fallen angels, demons, who are presently at work, thwarting, hindering, even at times stopping the work of God. We believe their destiny is sealed unto eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.

We believe that although God knows who will and who will not be saved, that the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and empty tomb was for all mankind. Thus allowing the "whosoever wills" to repent of sin and be saved by faith.

We believe a biblical, New Testament church ought to be missions-minded with the goal of planting churches where no fundamental testimony exists, while centering in on that church’s own "Jerusalem", while extending themselves to the "uttermost parts of the earth".

We believe that the judgment of man’s sin took place at the cross, but that the believer in Jesus Christ will face the Bema Seat (Judgment Seat of Christ) for an examination of his works as a Christian, to receive or not receive rewards from the Savior Jesus Christ.
